One of my favorite recipes is STUFF!

What is stuff you ask?

Line the bottom and sides of your cold 11 inch skillet.  Now add the vegetables that you have in your refrigerator.  Cut on #2 or #3 cone. Examples:  Cabbage, carrots, radishes, squash, onion, potato, etc… just clean out the fridge.
Next you add a can of cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup.
Next, sprinkle more hamburger on top, then add cheese cut on #2.

Remember 1, 2, 3.

1- Put the burner on medium.
2- Wait for the vapo valve to tap.
3- Turn to low.

After turned to low cook about 15 minutes and then check to make sure hamburger is fully cooked.

Enjoy!

Let me know how yours turns out and what you used.

I was cooking today, but not with Saladmaster.   I was demonstrating outdoor cooking over a wood fire.

Dutch Oven Cooking Demonstation at Farm Girl Fest

Dutch Oven Cooking Demonstation at Farm Girl Fest

I cooked some old time favorites, ham and beans in the Dutch Oven and fried potatoes and onion in the big old cast iron skillet.

Now, I am not promoting that you cook with cast iron on a  regular basis because it is not good for you, but on a camping trip you can not beat it on a open wood fire.

Farm Girl Fest is an awesome event.  It was today and will be help Sunday also from 12 to 5.

There is a lot going on so lets take a look.

Cleaning tip

Hello,

I want to just take a minute and address one cleaning process.

EGGS

Saladmaster cooks eggs great.  You can fry them without grease, make scrambled eggs, casseroles, crepes, and many other versions.

TIP:

When you are done cooking while the pan is still hot, use very hot water and put in the pan.  Put the lid on it and let it sit till you clean up.

This will loosen any left overs and then you simply empty the pan and it should wipe clean.

Next use hot soap and water, rinse, and then polish  with Saladmaster Surface Master Powder Cleaner.

To order then Click on Accessories & Other in the top right corner.

The cost is $11.00  If you are local I usually have it in stock.

popcorn

The Saladmaster electric skillet is an awesome popcorn popper.

Very simple too.

Tip- Soak the popcorn in water for an hour before popping.

In cold electric skillet cover bottom of pan, and put on the lid.

Adjust heat to 450.

As corn starts to pop, shake periodically.

As popping slows down, turn off skillet and let it finish.

BE CAREFUL TAKING LID OFF, STEAM COULD BURN YOU!

Flavor, and Enjoy!

Healthy Fried Chicken??

Have you ever had Saladmaster Fried Chicken. It is the best.

Simply preheat your skillet. One of the best ways to test it is to put a piece of paper towel in the skillet, and when it is browned, it is ready to fry your meat.
NO BATTER, NO SKIN, just raw meat! Throw it in the pan, add your favorite seasoning. I prefer just salt and pepper. Press it down in the pan. Tilt the lid to make sure the air get to the meat so it is crispy. Putting the lid on it will allow you to bake it.
Cook till the meat releases on the first side with a fork, about 10-15 minutes. Turn the meat and press down the meat. Cook about another 10-15 minutes until meat is released from the pan.
Note: On the second side I prefer to put the lid on the skillet and reduce the heat. This makes the meat even more tender and juicy.

Enjoy!
